The global internship program will grant you access to international opportunities, inspiring people from across the world, a strong professional network and skills that will fast-track your career.

The program operates in the world’s leading cities; London, New York, Los Angeles and Hong Kong. It is designed to ensure you improve your career prospects and become more commercially and culturally aware.

Internships overview



The global internship program provides an immersive experience. It is structured around an eight-week placement with a leading company in your chosen field, alongside weekly career seminars, CV workshops, professional networking events, social evenings and weekend excursions.

Our internships will help you to explore your chosen career path, develop industry specific knowledge and increase your professional network, simultaneously helping you to focus the direction of your career and increase your appeal to future employers.


You will benefit from an extensive support network before, during and after the program. Upon enrolling on the program you will be assigned an internship adviser who will work with you to ascertain your immediate and long-term career aspirations and guide you through our placement selection and pre-arrival processes.

To help you develop your work-based learning, you will be assigned both a buddy (junior person within the business) and a mentor (senior business-person). You will also be assigned a City Internships contact who will act as a group mentor to steer you through the program.

The career seminars, guest speaker and networking events are designed to introduce you to professionals who are excelling in their individual industries, able to offer advice and field questions. They will inspire you to achieve and help you understand how they overcame similar challenges at the earliest stages of their careers. Our weekend excursions always prove popular; London participants visit the Lake District, Los Angeles participants head to Las Vegas, New York participants swan up to the Hamptons and Hong Kong participants sail to Macau.

The program is designed with you and your career in mind, ensuring you leave us with the skills and experience to start an exciting career.









What's included ?



All elements of the program have been carefully selected to provide a well-balanced experience that enables you to make the most of your placement and your time in your host city.

Two program types are available for each location: the core program and the full program. Both programs are eight weeks in duration.

The full program includes centrally-located, high-quality accommodation and an extended meal plan. The core program is designed for those that have access to alternative accommodation in their chosen location.

An optional investment banking professional training course is available to program participants in London and New York. An optional Mandarin language training course is available to program participants in Hong Kong.





How it works



Application Process

The application process comprises three stages.

Interview and select your host company




Apply Online

Your application will be reviewed by our admissions team who will notify you of the outcome of your application within ten working days. There is no application fee.

Enroll

If your application is successful you will be invited to enroll on the program. At the enrollment stage you will be required to submit a deposit of £250 + VAT to secure your place on the program.

You will then be assigned an internship adviser to guide you through the internship selection and pre-arrival processes.

Your adviser will further evaluate your CV and conduct an interview with you to in order to match you with a suitable host company. They will also provide guidance on interview techniques and help to revise your résumé in preparation for upcoming interviews.

Interview and select your host company

Your internship adviser will present a selection of opportunities in your chosen industry to you, ensuring that both your aspirations and skills are in line with the host company’s requirements.

You will typically be required to complete a single-stage interview to secure your placement.

Your adviser will ensure that you are fully prepared before each interview by sharing industry, company and interviewer specific insights with you.

Remember, you will have the final say on which internship offer you choose to select.

In the unlikely event that you are not successful in securing a placement in your chosen industry you will be eligible for a full refund. Terms and conditions apply.

Eligibility

The global internship program is open to university students and recent graduates from all over the world.

In addition to being bright, ambitious and passionate about exploring your chosen career path, you must be fluent in both written and spoken English to be eligible to participate.

You must have an excellent academic record and have graduated from university or be studying at university, you are able to provide evidence of extra-curricular participation and you demonstrate ambition.

If you wish to apply to a non-domestic program, you must also possess a valid passport.

Tuition fees

The global internship program fee structure is entirely cost-based, meaning that all the money you part with is invested into the program as follows:

  • 15% Work placement origination and organization, CV and interview coaching, pre-arrival arrangements
    Our well-trained team of professional graduate recruiters, dedicated admissions advisers and placement advisers are committed to helping students and graduates to get career-ready and secure great placements with host companies.
  • 25% Program content
    The program includes a welcome orientation, career seminars, skills workshops, networking events, cultural and social events, excursions, on-site staffing and 24/7 support.
  • 45% Housing & meal plan
    We are required to make financial commitments often 18 months in advance to secure the most suitable accommodation in multiple locations across the globe.
  • 15% Organizational, infrastructure, technology and professional services
    Our management and staffing, multinational offices and cutting-edge technology help us to continually develop our leading experiential global program.
